This past weekend, I was in San Diego visiting my brother, sister-in-law, and my two adorable nieces. Family time was definitely the highlight, but if you know me, you know a trip is never just leisure. There’s almost always a little business mixed in too.
While I was out there, a mutual friend connected me with a gym owner who runs something very similar to what we do at TS Fitness. We sat down, talked shop, and honestly, her story hit close to home. Her career path looked a lot like mine.
There’s something special about meeting fellow small fitness business owners who are genuinely passionate about what they do and have real ambition behind it.
We talked a little about potentially doing some business together down the road, so stay tuned on that one.
But most of our conversation kept coming back to one thing: why we both believe so strongly in small group training.
The community it builds.
The results it delivers.
The way it changes people’s relationship with fitness.
Why Small Group Training Works
At TS, we’ve seen firsthand why this model works so well for so many people.
Progress Is Measurable
Weights are tracked, which means you can consistently build strength, improve performance, and increase muscle tone over time instead of just doing random workouts.
Coaching and Feedback Matter
You learn proper form and get real-time feedback, which makes training safer, more effective, and approachable for all fitness levels.
Training Can Be Adapted
If you have injuries, limitations, or areas that need extra attention, the program can be modified without compromising your results.
Community Changes Everything
This is probably the biggest one. People are far more likely to stay consistent when they feel supported and connected to the people around them.
That conversation was a great reminder that what we’re building at TS Fitness isn’t just a workout. It’s a model that genuinely works. And it’s encouraging to know there are other passionate gym owners across the country who feel the same way.
More to come on that potential collaboration. In the meantime, if you’ve been on the fence about trying small group training, consider this your sign.
